Homework 12h May (2º ESO)

Hello there! How are you?

Today  we are going to read a text about "Swap Shops" but... what is it? A swap shop is a place where you can exchange things with other people (es una especie de evento en el que se intercambian objetos, bien sea ropa, juegos, música...) es decir, una buena oportunidad de dar un nuevo uso a las cosas, y por lo tanto de reutilizar y de ahorrar.

• First, review the vocabulary (page 77)
• Workbook (libro de actividades): do pages 1, 2,  3 and 4  from Unit 6 (son 4 actividades para trabajar vocabulario). Es importante que repases primero porque la primera os puede hacer dudar mucho.
• Now let's go to the Book on page 65 and look at the photo: What is Zoey's problem? Answer:

→She is bored with her old T-shirts and jeans

→She forgets to recycle new batteries

→She wastes water

• Now read the text carefully. The title is "Green Talk" because it talks about problems with the environment (es decir, una charla sobre un problema ecológico). LISTEN TO THE TEXT TWICE (2 veces). This new vocabulary will help  you, but you can use WORDREFERENCE, too:

bored -aburrido

half of them - la mitad de ellos/as

chemicals - sustancias químicas

free - gratis

you should - deberías

from now on - de ahora en adelante

• Finally, on page 65 let's do Activity 2: Answer the questions (use complete answers!) and Activity 3: Choose the correct word to complete the sentences (las palabras que necesitas están en el texto).
