Homework Thursday 18th June (ESO)

The homework today is not really homework... they are interactive activities, videos and games that you can use to review English in summer. I hope you like it! (Puedes utilizar estos enlaces para repasar también en verano):

•  A lot of activities in English for ESO: vocabulary, grammar, listening, reading... to do it ONLINE→ LINK 1. Aqui puedes repasar cualquier cosa que imagines de forma interactiva y mucho más divertida.
• Funny games → LINK 2. Encontrarás juegos muy entretenidos para repasar comparativos, verbos, vocabulario, cómo decir la hora... You' ll have lots of fun!
• Quizizz → LINK 3. A este ya has jugado varias veces pero es muy divertido. Hay cuestionarios para repasar contenidos de todo tipo, sólo debes escribir lo que quieres buscar en la parte de arriba, donde aparece una lupa con el texto "Encuentra un cuestionario", por ejemplo: Past Simple, comparatives, places vocabulary, food vocabulary, countable and uncountable... Te sirve además para cualquier asignatura.
• Extra English → LINK 4. Aquí podrás acceder a todos los capítulos de la serie con subtítulos, elige desde el último que vimos😊
• Lyrics Training → LINK 5. Watch your favourite music videos and fill in the blanks. Puedes buscar por título de canción o por cantante y elegir modo escritura o selección.

Sería una gran idea "refrescar" vuestros conocimientos de vez en cuando a lo largo de las vacaciones; para ello siempre tendréis disponibles estos links de hoy y los contenidos publicados en el blog. Os deseo a todos un feliz verano ahora que poco a poco vamos retomando la "normalidad" en nuestras vidas y espero poder veros pronto. Un abrazo muy fuerte para los compañeros y compañeras que dejan nuestro cole para comenzar una nueva etapa en el Instituto. Homework Thursday 4th June (1º ESO)

Today we are going to continue with the past tense of regular verbs, and we are going to learn some IRREGULAR VERBS, too. 

• Do this interactive worksheet with affirmative, negative and interrogative sentences: click HERE. Ya sabéis, cuando esté hecha pulsad en TERMINADO y luego en comprobar mis respuestas, y hacedle foto.
• Irregular verbs don't make the past by adding -ed, they are different! (Los verbos irregulares no forman el pasado con -ed). En la pág 127 de tu libro tienes una lista con los 60 verbos irregulares más usados. Te preguntarás por qué aparecen varias columnas: aparece el verbo en infinitivo y su traducción a español, el pasado simple del verbo y otra columna con el participio (que de momento no vamos a aprender, pues se usa para formar tiempos compuestos). Copia en tu cuaderno y aprende de momento estos que te escribo aquí (el primero ya lo hemos trabajado!):
  
• Write these sentences in the affirmative, negative and interrogative form. Read the example first:

(+) She had some cereal and milk for breakfast yesterday (verbo en pasado)

(-) She didn't have cereal and milk for breakfast yesterday (observa que el verbo va en infinitivo)

(?) Did she have cereal and milk for breakfast yesterday? (did + subject + infinitive)

1. (+) We ate an ice cream yesterday afternoon.
2. (+) María gave Blanca a present for her birthday.
3. (+) David went to the cinema last weekend.
4. (+) Alberto and Pedro understood the maths lesson very well.
5. (+) Ariadna saw Cynthia in the street one week ago.

7. (+) When I was 12 I broke my leg.

Hi! Let's go with the homework today:

• First, let's do an interactive worksheet : click HERE. Ojo con el segundo ejercicio, a la hora de ordenar oraciones deberás prestar mucha atención si se trata de una oración interrogativa ya que en ese caso el verbo To Be iría al principio (no te dan pistas como en el libro). Ya sabes, al finalizar, click en TERMINADO y a continuación en "comprobar mis respuestas" y le hace foto a la ficha con la nota que te ponga.
• Reading (page 70): "Plastic bags? No, thank you!" Let's listen to the text and read it carefully. This vocabulary can help you understand:

billion - billón

all over the world - por todo el mundo

full of rubbish - lleno de basura

sail - navegar

through - a través de

ban - prohibir

plastic-bag-free towns - ciudades libres de plástico

cloth bags - bolsas de tela

• Do exercises 1, 2, 3 and 4 on page 70. You can do them on the digital platform.

Hi kids!
Today, you are going to watch a video to learn the grammar of this unit. Es un vídeo que he grabado yo, espero que lo entendáis mejor: CLICK HERE.
Hablando en pasado, podemos utilizar expresiones temporales como:
Yesterday (ayer)
Last year/Monday/weekend... (el año pasado/ el lunes pasado, el fin de semana pasado...)
one year ago/ three days ago... (hace un año/ hace 3 días...)

- Book, page 80: 3, 4 and 5 (Ya sabes que en libro digital es mucho más cómodo)

Good morning kids!
Today let's learn something new. Copy it in your notebook:

Giving advice with SHOULD.

We use SHOULD to give advice (usamos SHOULD para dar consejos). SHOULD es un verbo modal (igual que MUST), es igual para todos los pronombres y su negación es SHOULDN'T (should+not). 

Let's see some examples:

👦-I'm not feeling well...(no me siento bien...)

👧-You should go to the doctor. (Deberías ir al médico)

👨-I've got a History test tomorrow! (Tengo un examen de Historia mañana)

👩-You should study! (¡Deberías estudiar!)

👧-She is very tired this morning (Ella está muy cansada esta mañana)

👦-She shouldn't go to bed late (No debería acostarse tarde)

• Let's watch a video. Observa que en la segunda mitad del video dicen otras expresiones similares, algunas ya las conoces como: Why don't you....? (por qué no....?).

• Now, let's practice: do activities 5 to 8 from page 67 (activity 7 is a listening. En la 8 deberás escribir 4 oraciones en las que des un consejo para cuidar el medio ambiente).
• And finally. let's watch a chapter from Extra English. I hope you like it! (It's episode 4 part 1. No recuerdo si nos quedamos por este en clase, pero para ponerte en situación te diré que Héctor busca un trabajo):
